Dr. Robin Turin

Veterinarian
Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

Dr. Turin has practiced veterinary medicine at Morrisville Veterinary Hospital since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.  Dr. Turin graduated cum laude from Dickinson College in 1993 where she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and the National Scholarship and Leadership Society.

Dr. Turin loves being challenged by her work.  She completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture through IVAS in 2011 and loves incorporating this versatile modality into her practice of veterinary medicine.  She is currently working towards a certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine and is excited to be able to add “another tool to her toolbox”.

Dr. Turin is certified in the PennHIP method of radiography for hip dysplasia in dogs.

Dr. Turin lives in Bucks County with her husband, two children, dog and two cats.  Her interests include reading, Pilates, and cooking and eating delicious vegetarian food.

Dr. Dianne E. Skorup

Veterinarian
Medical Director
Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist

Dr. Skorup graduated from Millersville State College in 1981 with a B.S. in Biology. She then worked at Thomas Jefferson University doing cellular immunology research for four years.

Dr. Skorup is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a 13-month small-animal rotating medical and surgical internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then spent eight years in private practice in New York before returning to Pennsylvania. In 2001, after three years in emergency and private practice, Dr. Skorup joined  Morrisville Veterinary Hospital. As an Associate Veterinarian and our Medical Director, Dr. Skorup is responsible for surgical/medical cases, as well as the management duties associated with a large support staff. In February 2015 Dr. Skorup became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT).  She was required to complete 112 hours of course work, pass written and clinical exams, complete a 40 hour internship and submit 3 case studies.  She is a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV).

Dr. Skorup enjoys traveling, running, music, gardening, and spending time with her Great Pyrenees dog.

Dr. Jane M. Belak-Hamer

Veterinarian

Dr. Belak graduated in 1992 from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Animal Science. After graduation she worked in a Harvard University genetic research lab with zebra fish.  Dr. Belak received her veterinary degree in 1999 from Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts. Upon graduating, she worked in three very busy  veterinary hospitals in northeastern Pennsylvania, allowing her to experience a wide variety of surgical and medical cases. Dr. Belak joined Morrisville Veterinary Hospital in 2007.

With 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 chinchilla and 3 daughters her life is very busy.  Her interests include traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Taye M. Hart

Associate Veterinarian
Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Hart grew up in Ohio and attended Ohio State University for both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees.  After graduating magna cum laude from Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at the University of Minnesota.  This was followed by a temporary move to Los Angeles for additional training in cardiology before deciding to become a general practitioner.  She has practiced in Ohio and Ambler, PA, before joining Morrisville Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Hart, her husband and son are loving the Philadelphia area, while their two cats, May and Rose, are thrilled to finally be finished moving all over the country!  Dr. Hart’s special interests include dentistry, feline medicine, and cardiology.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, photography, reading, and lampworking.

Dr. Donna Hughes-Saurina

Associate Veterinarian (Retired)

Dr. Hughes joined Morrisville Veterinary Hospital in 1985 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She officially retired July 2021, after 36 years of commitment to her patients and their owners. These relationships  have deepened, leading to many lasting friendships. Because of these relationships Dr. Hughes, while retired, still plays an active role behind the scenes ensuring that MVH is providing the best patient care possible.  Her passion for animals is matched only by a love for painting them. Her works can be viewed at www.donnasaurina.com. She loves her husband and family, especially her newly adopted niece and nephew, her garden, Cape May, New Jersey and her spoiled cats.

Melodie C. Simmons

Office Manager

Melodie joined our team in 1978  as an office manager and jack of all trades. In her time at Morrisville Veterinary Hospital she has grown to learn all the inner workings here and is a wonderful asset to the team.
