Dr. Skorup graduated from Millersville State College in 1981 with a B.S. in Biology. She then worked at Thomas Jefferson University doing cellular immunology research for four years.
Dr. Skorup is a 1989 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed a 13-month small-animal rotating medical and surgical internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. She then spent eight years in private practice in New York before returning to Pennsylvania. In 2001, after three years in emergency and private practice, Dr. Skorup joined Morrisville Veterinary Hospital. As an Associate Veterinarian and our Medical Director, Dr. Skorup is responsible for surgical/medical cases, as well as the management duties associated with a large support staff. In February 2015 Dr. Skorup became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). She was required to complete 112 hours of course work, pass written and clinical exams, complete a 40 hour internship and submit 3 case studies. She is a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians (AARV).
Dr. Skorup enjoys traveling, running, music, gardening, and spending time with her Great Pyrenees dog.
